Gather a few supplies and let's get creative!


Sock Snowman
1 – Gather the following supplies:
3 long socks
1 white ankle sock
Yarn or ribbon
Rubber band
Glue gun
2 – Take 1 long sock. Roll from opening to toe to form a ball.
3 – Take other 2 long socks. Stuff 1 sock inside the other, then roll from opening to toe to form a lager ball.
4 – Stuff the larger ball into the ankle sock and push it to the toe. Tie off with rubber band. Then stuff the smaller ball on top. Twist and roll down remaining sock to form a hat.
5 – Use yarn or ribbon to cover the rubber band between the two sections of the snowman.
6 – Use yarn or ribbon and buttons to decorate snowman, utilizing glue gun to attach if desired.
7 – Enjoy!
Rebus Puzzles
1 – Google “rebus puzzle definition”
What is a rebus puzzle?
2 – Design at least three rebus puzzles that relate to something that you reviewed this week.
3 – Enjoy!
Lava Lamp
Collect the following materials:
1 – Mason jar
2 – Vegetable oil
3 – Water
4 – Food coloring
5 – Alka-Seltzer (knock off brand)
Complete the following instructions:
1 – Fill the Mason jar just over half full with oil.
2 – Fill to the top with water.
3 – Add the food coloring.
4 – Break an Alka-Seltzer into pieces and add one at a time to the jar.
5 – Enjoy the show!

Stained Glass Butterflies
1 – Gather the following supplies:
Wax paper
Construction paper
Tissue paper
Scissors
Yarn
Glue
2 – Fold a piece of construction paper in half and draw half of a butterfly. Cut out butterfly and open to reveal the pattern.
3 – Draw the pattern on several other sheets of construction paper (at least three). Draw the pattern on as many pieces of wax paper (one piece of wax paper per construction paper).
4 – Fold each of your butterflies on construction paper in half and cut an inch to a half inch away from the outside following the outline. This will be your stained glass frame. Cut out pattern on wax paper.
5 – Use the glue to attach your construction paper butterfly frame to a matching wax paper butterfly.
6 – Cut pieces of tissue paper into squares and circles.
7 – Use glue to attach tissue paper in a design on your wax paper.
8 – After butterflies are dry, punch a hole into a wing and use yarn to hang.
9 – Enjoy!
***NOTE: Parchment paper or contact paper can be used in lieu of wax paper.***
